1. Who you are contracting with

Crawler Companion (the "Service") is operated by Twilight Dawn Gaming ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account, subscribing, or continuing to use the Service you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation you confirm you have authority to bind it; if you use it as an individual you confirm you are of legal age to enter a contract in your country.

2. What the Service is

Crawler Companion is a fan-made online toolkit for running and playing tabletop roleplaying sessions: character sheets, floor maps, encounter and combat tracking, loot, quests, shops and an in-app announcer. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or licensed by the publisher or authors of any book series or game it is used alongside.

3. Accounts and accurate information

You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

4. Licence and acceptable use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service within the plan you have selected. You must not:

• use the Service unlawfully, or for fraud, spam or harassment;
• upload or generate content that infringes anyone's intellectual property;
• interfere with the security or integrity of the Service, including malware, probing, penetration testing without consent, or scraping;
• reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the Service, or circumvent plan limits.

5. Your content and AI features

You keep ownership of the campaign notes, characters, images and other content you add. You grant us a limited licence to host and process that content solely to provide the Service. Parts of the Service use AI to generate text (announcer lines, snarky commentary) and character portraits from your descriptions. You are responsible for the prompts you submit, for having the rights to any content you input, and for how you use the outputs. AI outputs may be inaccurate or unexpected and are provided for entertainment within your game; they are not professional advice. We may filter, refuse, remove or restrict generated content, and we may suspend accounts for repeated or serious misuse. If you believe generated or uploaded content infringes your rights, contact us and we will review and remove infringing material; repeat infringement leads to account termination.

6. Intellectual property

We retain all ownership of the Service, including its software, design, documentation and branding. Nothing in these Terms transfers our intellectual property to you.

7. Service level

We work to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Features may change, and maintenance or outages can occur. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

8. Payment, subscriptions and taxes

Memberships are sold as a monthly or annual subscription and renew automatically until cancelled. Prices are shown on our pricing page. Payment, billing, tax, invoicing, cancellation and refund mechanics are handled by our reseller and are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. You may stop using the Service at any time and cancel renewal from your membership page. When access ends you may request an export of your campaign data within 30 days, after which it may be deleted.

10. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. We exclude liability for indirect, consequential or special losses, including lost profits, data or goodwill. Nothing limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot be limited by law. You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your content, unlawful use, or breach of these Terms.

11. General

You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them as part of a merger, acquisition or reorganisation. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control. These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over disputes. If we change these Terms we will update the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
